Hello St Paul’s Family! I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather.
which will include the latest revisions from Bishop Lucinda and Canon Martha. It will be on Saturday, November 12 at 10:30am and we hope to be able to go over all of the material by 12:30. Snacks and drinks will be provided. The last one was held in 2020 on Zoom during Covid restrictions. Because there have been many changes over the past 2 years it is important that all current EMs and EVs attend as well as any new persons you would like to have licensed. If you have any questions please let me know. Looking forward to seeing all our worthy lay ministers. We now have Two locations! We considered the logistics and difficulty of getting everyone together in one location. We will hold two workshops simultaneously. One will be at St. Barnabas and the other at St. James. Your Ems are welcome to attend either one but we thought it would be advantageous to assign churches accordingly: St. James' Parish Hall Dcns. Jim and Jackie facilitating. St. James' St. Luke's St. Paul's St. Barnabas Parish Hall Dcns. Susan and Br. Dennis facilitating St. Barnabas St. Stephen's St. Benedict's St. Peter's We have also invited Dcn. Jen to assist at the location of their choice. We look forward to this time with the worship servers in our deanery. Blessings, Jim The Rev. Hello St Paul’s Family!
SLO Deanery offering of "A Storied Pilgrimage on Race" - Our Diocese has put together a twelve session series which explores the personal stories of those across the diocese on issues of race. It is a holy offering of video interviews, education, action items, and room for reflection. Many of the leaders and clergy in the Diocese have been through the series, and we are excited to offer the series to all those in the SLO Deanery. Each session will be one hour on Zoom and will be led by the clergy of the Deanery. The sessions will be every other Thursday evening at 7:00pm starting September 8th and running through February. Zoom login information and session pre-work information is below. Each session is stand alone, so you are welcomed to attend even if you have not attended prior session.
