Bishop Lucinda will be here this Sunday the 3rd. Daylight Savings ends. Clocks Fall back 1 hour overnight Saturday into Sunday. It is also All Saints Day. If you have not brought photos yet, and plan to on Sunday, please try to come a little earlier to allow them to be added before the Service. Thank you. Book study Continues: on Zoom Wednesdays at 10:00 A.M led by Canon Mark Hall. "Jesus' Alternative Plan-The Sermon on the Mount" by Richard Rohr. Anyone is welcome to join. We discuss one chapter a week. This week is Chapter 5. Feel free to join us anytime! Looking ahead to Advent: The first Sunday in Advent is December 1st . Safe Harbor Presbyterian is holding their annual (very casual) Carol Singalong fun on Sunday Dec 22 at 3:00 in the Parish Hall. They would love to invite the Saint Paul’s Family for some merriment and cookies. There will be a 3:00 Christmas Eve service this year. In person and Zoom. It was a busy weekend here at St Paul’s. Thank you to the Volunteers this week; Barbara (AG), Loretta (Acolyte) and Dave (Usher). The Bulletin is attached. Guest Speaker at St Paul’s- Greenspace will be hosting a speaker event here at St. Paul’s this Sunday October 20th at 5:00. Obi Kaufmann - Naturalist, Writer, Illustrator, Poet & Eco-Philosopher Obi is the author of "The California Field Atlas", a guide to the state's ecology and geography. The book features hundreds of his watercolor paintings of maps, wildlife, and other aspects of nature. He also wrote "The California Land Trilogy" and many others related to nature in California. We are thrilled to have Obi as part of our speaker series! There is more information on our Website and there is a flyer attached. All church and event planning will be updated here. Including Safe Harbor, Unplugged concerts, group meetings and special events. The Bulletin is attached. This weekend is Pinedorado. Upcoming Birthday Celebration!!!! Sunday September 8th after the service will be a celebration of Stevely’s 90th birthday!! Her family will be attending church with her. They are bringing the CAKE and some nibbles. Please let us know if you would like to bring any food to the celebration. Thank you. We hope to see you all there! Book Study- Is there is enough interest in a book study? We hope to read the “Jesus’ Alternative Plan” The Sermon on the Mount, by Richard Rohr. It is a short book, 187 pages and available on Amazon. There are 9 chapters and we will discuss one each week. The study group will be on Zoom. Mark says any day except Monday is good for him. Please let us know: 1. Who wants to participate? 2. What time 10:00 Am or 7:00 Pm? 3. When should we start? Mid August? or September? ** You may Let Jane M. know or email or call the office. There is also a sheet in Parish Hall to sign up with interest and availability.
