Dear Church Family,
Here are some important announcements for the coming weeks:
8 am/9:30 am Oct 2-Nov 20 Volunteer Schedule is available under the appropriate tab under "Ministry". The 10:30 am will publish next week. October 2nd assignments for our combined (9:30 service) are as follows: Stevely A: Acolyte;
Carol S: Reader/Intercessor; Julian C: Healing Prayers, and Frank S: Usher.
** Note: A second usher for this date would be wonderful. Contact the office if you can serve.
Volunteer vacation season has arrived! This is the time of year when we have a lot less volunteers available due to extended vacations. If you can serve as a seasonal substitute, please let me know ASAP. Thanks in advance to our year-round volunteers who may need to serve more frequently during the next couple of months.
Georgianne J. remains hospitalized while her doctors continue to conduct tests, but she is much stronger, which is nice. Per her daughter, cards should be sent to her home. Please keep her in your prayers.
Time to Chime! Bells of St. Paul’s will practice at 11:45 am this coming Sunday, September 18 in the Library.
She’s back, and we’re glad! On September 25th we welcome
Bishop Mary Gray-Reeves to our parish, and we’ll hold one service only,
at 9:30 am. Those who will be attending a service with Bishop Mary for
the first time, please note: you may wish to arrive a little early, as the
pews fill up quickly when she is here.
Recruits Needed: Bishop’s reception: We’re recruiting a few folks for set-up and clean-up on the 25th. Please contact the office if you can “Deck the hall” beforehand, or help with suds patrol (clean up) after the event. Thanks a bunch!
All Creatures, Great and Small- Sunday, Oct 2- "Blessing of the Animals!" So bring your “cats, dogs, frogs on logs, birds, fish (whatever you wish!)”…to our
11:15 blessing in the Garden Overlook Area (lower parking lot.) . PLEASE make sure pets are caged or on leashes. Thanks!
All Saints Day Observed-Oct 30th We will hold our two regular services
(at 8 am and 10:30 am) on that day. Please submit all names and any
free-standing framed photos (5x7 preferred; none larger than 8 x 10, with
both the subject’s name, and your name, on the back) to the office
by Thursday, October 20th.
Little Jack Horner, sat in a corner, eating his tasty Linn’s pie! Mark your
calendars! On November 6, after the 9:30 am service, we will hold
our annual Stewardship Pie Social, made possible in GREAT part by
Aaron Linn and Linn’s Restaurant and Shops! There will be tasty pies and
a variety of great toppings for all to enjoy. Please plan to join us.
