Dear Church Family,
Another beautiful week here in Paradise on Earth! Here are your updates for June 9, 2016:
Keep the chill going! The refrigerator in the Parish Hall, which is only about 9 months old, recently had a damaged seal which prevented complete chilling of the food stored within it. Luckily, this time it was under warranty, so the repair did not cost the church anything, but we learned a helpful lesson: There is a proper way to open and close the doors. When opening the fridge, open the right side first. When closing it, left side first. If you forget this info, no worries. It will be posted on the fridge.
Our thirsty plants need our help! Volunteers are needed to water during scheduled weeks this summer. Please see the sign- up sheet in the Parish Hall to join the effort. The water project is coordinated by Mary Brockman.
Steinbeck Country/Out of the Office: Father Brian will be in Salinas next Wednesday and Thursday for Diocesan meetings.
All Aboard! Driver needed July 5th to SLO Amtrak! Helen Allinder needs someone who can drive her to the train station and help her board the train on July 5th. She would need to leave town about 2:15 or so, for the 3:35 pm departure. Please contact Helen if you can help: 927-1935.
Correction to email address: Please note that Vivian Russo’s email address in the Fall 2015 directory is incorrect. It should read firstname.lastname@example.org.
Charter members: If you actually happen to receive this email directly from the church, and not from our webmaster, mailchimp, or via another third party, please let me know ASAP BY EMAIL. Thanks.
Many thanks to everyone who attended the coffee hosts meeting last Sunday. Your input and interest are greatly appreciated.
Bible Study: The group is growing! Join us for great discussions of each Sunday’s assigned scriptures at 6 pm in the St. Paul’s Chapel/Library.
Have a wonderful weekend!
