I had a great trip and now I’m back in the office. Many thanks to Father Brian, Barbara Marks, and Leonard Kohout for filling in for me in various ways while I was away.
Some important news for all:
Where were you in 1945, 1963 and 2001?- Workshop series begins June 22!
We’ll help you remember by reflecting on each decade through music, news and entertainment. Then we’ll share our stories with one another. Throughout the series, Father Brian will help you connect the dots in your life to see where God’s hand has been at work, what you have learned along the way, and what experiences and insights you have to share with those you love. The workshop’s goal is to help you write your own spiritual biography. Leave your loved ones the gift of truly knowing you. Come and enjoy hours of reflection and storytelling: Thursdays, June 22– August 10, 1:30-3:00 pm in the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Library. RSVP: firstname.lastname@example.org or 927-3239
Volunteer Schedule for 10:30 am/9:30 am volunteers is attached.
Birthday Blunder: My apologies for omitting the names of Steve Allen and Eunice Wilson from the June birthday list. Best wishes to you both and to everyone else celebrating their birthdays in June.
Speaking of celebrating…guess who’s graduating! Congrats to Ethan Hoffman who is graduating from Santa Lucia Middle School this week and who will be a high school freshman next year! Has it really been that long since we first met him? Also sporting a cap and gown this June is Kate Hepworth who will soon receive her degree from my alma mater, Cal Poly-SLO. Congratulations, Kate, and best wishes to both mother and son!
Folks love our garden! Recently the Cambria Church and Fellowship (PCUSA) held their weekly worship service in our garden. They loved the outdoor space and said they could truly feel God’s presence there. If you wish to help maintain this truly special area, please contact Mary Brockman.
10:30 am parishioners please note: There is no one signed up to host coffee hour this week.
Next Thursday: Parish Administrators’ meeting, SLO. The office will close promptly at 12 noon. Please no drop-ins after 11:30 am. Thanks.
Ms. Betty is/was in the house! Today Betty Pierce popped in the office. Brought a smile to my face, from cheek to cheek. Thanks, Betty for that truly special visit!
