Dear Church Family,
Well, Week 1 with Father Brian in Chicago went rather smoothly, but as we enter Week 2, please note the following numbers for our parishioners’ pastoral emergencies: 927-3239, 459-7582 or, as a last resort, call Senior Warden Doug Wong who can also relay a message to the on-call priest.
Sunday, June 26 worship: 8 am and 10:30 am services. Celebrant: The Rev. Donna Ross, with Lorienne Schwenk providing The Message. Then please join us after services for our festive coffee hours, hosted this week by Fran Conklin and Vivian Russo (8 am) and by Marj Sewell (10:30 am). Thanks coffee hosts!
Garden stairs- The stairs will undergo preventive maintenance and painting July 12 through 15th. Access to the memorial garden, labyrinth, stations of the cross, etc will be blocked during this time period.
Bible study will continue throughout Father Brian’s leave and will be led by Retired Deacon Gay Blundell.
Parish website: Through our website, you can access information on weekly scripture readings, volunteer assignments, and locate quick links to the Diocesen and National websites, the Episcopal Relief and Development Organization and more. Leonard Kohout is constantly updating information, so check back often: www.stpaulscambria.org Thanks, Leonard!
Next Thursday, June 30th, the office will close at 12 pm promptly so that I can travel to SLO for a Parish Administrators’ meeting.
Water tenders needed for our thirsty plants. If you can volunteer to water once during the next several weeks, please sign up in the Parish Hall. Thanks.
Attention Sunday Volunteers: Vacation Dates Are Now Due: Schedules for August & September are hopefully going to publish by mid-July, so if there are dates that you are not available, this is the time to report them. Once the schedule is formulated, volunteers will need to find their own substitutes in the event of last minute schedule conflicts. Please email me the dates you are not available with “Unavailable dates” in the memo line. Many thanks to the volunteers that will serve over the summer when we have a higher absentee rate due to vacations resulting in more frequent volunteer assignments.
Birthday Belle: Anna Mae Wagner turns 93 tomorrow (June 24). Many of you haven’t had a chance to see her these last two years, so here is a photo of her taken today at her birthday lunch, which was also attended by Helen Allinder, Richard Moratin, Bill Baker and Yours Truly. Anna Mae looks terrific and sends her best to all of you.
Have a great weekend!
