Dear Church Family,
I hope you and yours all had a wonderful Easter Day. Many thanks to everyone who made our Easter services and brunches possible, whether your efforts were in the “front of the house” or behind the scenes. Your “heart” work was very much appreciated!
Here are your weekly announcements:
Saturday, April 22 is Earth Day! Celebrate by taking a walk along the water, or…why not invite a friend to enjoy our labyrinth and garden? Our plants are blooming, the hills are lovely and the presence of God is easily felt in the gentle breeze that passes through the trees. Our garden is a special place and the perfect place to ponder the beauty of nature that surrounds us, perhaps while reading the words of Hymn 8 “ Morning has broken”. However you spend it, Happy Earth Day!
Sunday, April 23: Two services, at 8 am and 10:30 am. Coffee hours will be hosted by Harriett Hankins (8 am) and Ann Glaser and Marylyn Villeneuve at 10:30 am. Many thanks! At the coffee hours, recognition of some very special people will occur. (Mysterious, right?) Be there or be square! J
Volunteer Schedules for April 30 through June 11 are attached. Carol and I have juggled your many preferences as best we could.
Thank you, volunteers, for all you do.
Many thanks to Huntley Lewis for all she has done in service to the Lord through this church over the years. Huntley will be moving down south soon, and we wish her the best. Hugs to you, Huntley!
Congratulations to Father Brian, who was officially welcomed into our parish as our Priest-in-Charge two years ago on April 26th, 2015 (though he had started a few weeks prior to that). At any rate, WOW, how quickly these past two years have flown by!
Bible study will be self-led over the next few Wednesdays while Father Brian is out of the office recharging his energy levels after a busy Lenten Season, Holy Week and Easter.
Pastoral emergencies: During Father Brian’s leave, please call the following numbers to report a pastoral emergency: 927-3239 (office) or 459-7582 (Michelle). Your call will be routed to the on-duty clergy covering for Father Brian.
And now, for our biggest (and anonymous) fan of everything French:
En vous souhaitant la joie ! (Wishing you joy!) J
