Dear Church Family,
Here are your updates for February 9, 2017:
February 12: Please join us at 8 am or 10:30 am for our Sunday HE services.
Let them eat cake..or should I say let them bake cake?! We had a very positive response to Doug Wong’s homemade cake last Sunday. Surprisingly, his boxed
cake mix and frosting only came to about $6.00. So, we’re asking others to
consider providing the cake for our monthly Birthday Sundays. Doing so
would reduce the cost of bakery cakes that the church now pays for, which
in turn would then also enable this birthday tradition to continue. Think
about it, and sign up on the coffee hour list in the parish hall if interested.
Golowka Memorial- A memorial service for Joe Golowka will most likely take
place in March. I promise to share the details when they are finalized.
Attention all Sunday volunteers: Lent/Holy Week and Easter are all right
around the corner! Carol S. and I are currently drafting the schedules
for March and April. It is very important that we know ASAP who is
unavailable and when during those two months, and also who is willing
o serve on Ash Wednesday (12 noon, March 1), Maundy Thursday, Good Friday stations, Good Friday BCP service, at the 7 am Easter service on April 16, and
at the 9:30 am Easter Service. Please email both Carol Schutz
(email@example.com ) and me, regardless of whether you usually attend
the 8 am or 10:30 am services. Thanks, and let the schedule juggling begin!
Note: If you recently filled out a new volunteer card saying you would like to become a reader, you will be contacted soon for follow-up.
Extra Annual Reports are available in the office for those who missed the
meeting last month.
In honor of Valentine’s Day next Tuesday:
