Good Afternoon, St. Paul’s Family!
I hope your having a terrific week. Here are your updates for November 3, 2016:
All creatures great and small: Now is the time to enjoy two very cool experiences in nature: the whales are back in San Simeon, and the monarch butterflies have once again arrived to our Central Coast! Enjoy these beautiful creatures while they are here in our midst.
Congratulations to all of our Cubs fans who are still celebrating their team’s World Series win from earlier this week!
Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend! A reminder to turn your clocks back 1 hour before going to bed Saturday night, or you will be one hour early for church on Sunday!
Speaking of Sunday: Our service begins at 9:30 am, followed by the Annual Pie Social, which will officially kick off Stewardship Season. If you haven’t already done so, please pick up your stewardship packet from the ushers’ cart, which hopefully will be on the porch for your easy access. Please return your pledge cards to the church, Attn: Ken Martin, no later than Dec 4. Many thanks in advance!
The return of the Cookie Elves! The Annual Cookie Outreach event is scheduled for Sat December 10. If you know someone who needs a little extra holiday cheer this year, please submit their name, address, phone number and brief description of what we should keep in mind when penning the message that will accompany the cookies. We will then happily add them to the list. Referrals can be submitted to the office for now. Information on the deadline for referrals, and who else will be published next week, so stay tuned!
Office Closure next Thursday. The Parish Administrator will be off next Thursday, but hopefully there will be updates published next Wednesday.
This week’s “shout out” goes to Rex and Priscilla Cooper, Barbara Hagiwara and our “two Tennessee trotters” .(You know who you are!) Hope all of you are doing well.
