What a week for the Crockers! Happy Anniversary to you both, and Happy Birthday, Julian!
Dec 24 Christmas Eve service: 6:30 hymn sing, followed by 7 pm HE service. Refreshments will be served after the service. If you haven’t seen this year’s decorations in the sanctuary, they are beautiful. Way until you see that adorable Christmas tree!
There will be NO CHRISTMAS DAY SERVICES. Father Brian will, however, lead a BCP prayer service at 2 pm, just before the Christmas luncheon begins.
‘Tis the Season- Holidays are a time when churches are especially vulnerable to burglars. Please take extra care when exiting our facilities to ensure that the doors and windows are securely locked. Thank you.
Office Closure- Week of December 25th. Please call 310-913-0386 if there is a pastoral emergency. There will be no updates next week.
Bible Scholars are off next week, and will reconvene Wed. January 4 at 5:30 pm.
Choir is also off next week.
Jan 1: 9:30 am service
Epiphany, Jan 6 at 3:00 pm-The Story of the Other Wise Man, a reading sponsored by the Men of Arnold’s Breakfast Club, and followed by a special performance by the Bells of St. Paul’s.
Volunteer line up: January 8
8 am volunteer lineup: Acolyte: Sue J, Reader: Lorienne S, Healing: Jim W, and Frank J, Usher.
10:30 am schedule will come directly from Carol Schutz.
The rest of the January and February Sunday schedules will publish the first part of the Jan 1 week.
Legacy Workshop: Planned Giving; January 8 between our two services at 9:15 am. Our guest presenter is Lise Luttgens, CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, and a Lay Leader at St. Matthew’s Parish, Pacific Palisades. The workshop will conclude in time for the 10:30 am service.
I will check messages from home once daily for time-sensitive matters, while I am out of the office.
As the year comes to a close, many thanks for all of the help in the office, on Sundays/holy days, and/or with the maintenance of our grounds and facilities. You all make St. Paul’s a very special place!
