June 19, 2014
Dear Church Family,
Here are your short and sweet updates for this week:
- We are working on our problem regarding the inability to reach our 14 Charter.net parishioners. A technician spent quite a bit of time here yesterday and we are encouraged that Charter will be giving us some good news soon.
-As outlined in your June 6 letter from Senior Warden Julian Crocker, input sessions regarding the priest recruitment process will be held a week from Sunday on June 29th after both coffee hours. Members of Vestry will facilitate the sessions: 8 am coffee hour- Bud Hankins and 10:30 am coffee hour- Barbara Hagiwara. This is the time to express your ideas, questions or thoughts. Another session will follow the July 6 service.
-Also on June 29th: Last chance Sunday for donations to the monthly food program (distributes July 3). Please give what you can to end hunger in our community.
-Many thanks to Frank Schutz for installing security lights on campus and also a defibrillator in the Parish Hall.
-The following parishioners received CPR / Defib training earlier this week: Anne H. Smith, Stevely Anderson, Georgianne Jackson, Leonard Kohout, and Marj Sewell
-Parish, CARES and Sr. Nutrition reps who also received training included: Michelle Costa, Doris Miller, John Mullen, Ron Swierk, Jesse Miller and Priscilla Mikesell. Needless to say, if there is a cardiac emergency on campus, we will certainly be well covered.
-The annual Women’s Luncheon at Cavalier Restaurant will be held July 15 at 1 pm. Please RSVP by July 11 to Helen Allinder: 927-1935.
-Many thanks to Barbara Hagiwara for overseeing the installation of the Memorial Garden's 3 rows of pavers. More info on the Memorial Garden will be available soon.
Have a great weekend.
