OUR GOALS: OUR PARTICIPANTS: Cambria Adult Resources Education and Support (CARES) is a non profit organization which provides adult day care services to adults who have developed functional impairments related to aging or disabilities including dementia and Stage one Alzheimer's disease. CARES provides socialization and interaction those who have physical and or cognitive impairments while providing family and caregivers respite. OUR PROGRAM: A Program Director and Assistant Program
Director provide continual supervision. Volunteers work with the
professional staff. OUR SCHEDULE: Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. We provide flexible scheduling to meet the individual needs of our participants and families. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Meals are provided for the participants by the Senior Nutrition Program. Free transportation is available for Cambria and San Simeon residents through the Cambria Community Bus. OUR VOLUNTEERS: CARES is a community based adult day
program which relies on the generous donations of time, service and
philanthropy from the local community. We are a 501(c)(3) organization. CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP: A support group is available for all care givers or individuals who need assistance with family or care giving issues. The group meets from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month in the library of St. Paul's Parish Hall. These sessions are free. Call 927-4290 for details. Call today to

| CARES is a coalition of Cambria service
organizations, churches, and individuals dedicated to bringing local
care to local seniors.
The CARES coalition includes: American Legion Post 432, Cambria Anonymous Neighbors (C.A.N.), Cambria Connection, Cambria Community Healthcare District, Community Presbyterian Church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Santa Rosa Catholic Church, First Unity Church, and members at large.
