Dear Church Family,
Here are your updates for this week:
Sunday Services on November 22- Looking forward to seeing you at 8 am or 10:30 am. Father Brian will be using a new blessing at the end of the service, taken from a service a while back, led by the now/current Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. We hope to have more info available on Presiding Bishop Michael in the coming weeks.
Wednesday, November 25: Turkey and all the fixings at 11:45 am at Senior Nutrition in our Parish Hall. Cost of the meal is about $3.00 and includes turkey w/ cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, tangerine, dinner roll, pumpkin pie and milk/coffee/water. HERE’S THE CATCH: YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR MEAL IN ADVANCE BY TOMORROW (FRIDAY) Call 927-1268 to reserve your meal. See you there!
Thursday, November 26th- Happy Thanksgiving…The office will be closed that day. Because of the holiday, updates may not be sent out next week…it just depends on how busy Tuesday and Wednesday are here in the office.
November 29- 1st Sunday of Advent: It is also the last time to donate to the food program before the December distribution date. Please check all on your non-perishables to make sure they have not expired, as expired food cannot be distributed.
Cookie Outreach- This year’s event will be held Saturday, December 12. Please deliver cookies to the Parish Hall by 9:30 am. Please contact the Outreach Elves if you have someone to refer as a recipient of cookies, or would like to help by baking, assembling tins or driving/delivering. NOTE: All referrals for cookies must be received by December 3rd. Unfortunately, late referrals cannot be accommodated. Call Lou Ann Carter 927-5583 or the office to report a name.
Speaking of deadlines: If you plan on pledging your time or your financial support for the 2016 year, please return your pledge form by December 6th. Thank you.
Parish Hall group- Please note that the Parish Hall will not be available Tuesday from 4 pm to 9 pm, as we welcome a Christian Fellowship associated with the Presbyterian Church USA to our campus.
Volunteer Schedules- will publish next week. Some substitute readers may be called to help during the holidays.
