Happy (Church) New Year! This Sunday marks the first Sunday of Advent. I hope it is a very special season for all of you! Here are your updates:
Office closure: The Parish Administrator’s office will close Wednesday November 25th at 11:45 am, and reopen Thursday, December 2nd. Father Brian will maintain his normal schedule, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day when he will be out of the office.
Cookie Outreach deadline is December 3rd! If you wish to provide referrals re: cookie recipients, or volunteer as a driver or baker, we need to hear from you by December 3rd. Call Lou Ann at 927-5583, since the office will be closed most of next week.
New guests on campus: Beginning Tuesday, December 1st, the Community Christian Fellowship, associated with Presbyterian Church USA, will worship weekly on our campus, using our parish hall from 4 pm (set up) to 9 pm (cleanup). Therefore please note that members of St. Paul’s will not be able to access the Parish Hall during those hours. Their meeting time will now be noted on the calendars found on the back page of your bulletin, in case you aren’t sure of when the Hall is tied up. Please do not disturb their Advent candle stand or stored items in the TV cabinet closet Thanks!
Christmas Eve Tributes/Offerings forms will be included in bulletins beginning this Sunday, November 29th.
December 6th: Annual Brunch after our 9:30 am service. This is also the last day to turn in pledges for 2016. Many thanks to all of those folks who have already turned in their forms for next year’s pledges.
Blue Christmas Service, Monday, December 21 at 7 PM. This beautiful service is for those seeking comfort from loss during the holidays. Carols, candles, beautiful liturgy and loving hearts await you. Please join us.
Guess who’s coming to dinner! You, perhaps!? You are cordially invited to Christmas dinner with your St. Paul’s family, December 25, 2015, in the Parish Hall. Program: Christmas movie at 11:00 a.m., festive meal at noon, carols and games following. The turkey will be provided. Please bring your favorite Christmas dish to share with us.
