I hope this day finds you staying cool and perhaps taking a dip in the ocean somewhere.
Here are your updates for the week:
Sunday, November 1 All Saints Day: We would love to display your loved ones’ framed, free-standing photos on this day. These can be of those lost during the past year, or in years past, as there is no time limit on the emotions we feel for those we have lost. Please submit your 8x10 or smaller framed photo, with the person’s name clearly printed on the back, as well as the name of the person we should return the photo to after the service. Please bring the photos to the office by Monday, October 26th.
Card Ministry: The donations are rolling in. Thanks so much for supporting this new ministry. A collection box is now located in the Parish Hall for easy drop-offs.
Office hours: Please note that office hours are by appointment only after
3:00 pm. The last couple of hours of the day are reserved for private matters and confidential office work. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Kudos to everyone who worked on the Angela Lansbury event. Special thanks to Joni Michel, hospitality/Gala Coordinator, Leonard Kohout (ticketing and office support) and of course, Father Brian! Thanks also to the entire program assembly crew. I’m sure everyone involved had their feet up sometime on Friday, just taking in a few hours of R&R.; at least I hope they were!
CARES Board meets Monday at 2:00 pm in the Parish Hall.
Stewardship Season is rounding the corner. Next month we will hold our annual pre and post Stewardship events. More later.
Sunday October 18 Don Dallmann will serve as Celebrant while Father Brian is away officiating over a wedding.
Vestry will meet one week later than normal. Next meeting: October 26 at 1:00 pm.
Buona Notte to Leonard and Ken who are reading this from somewhere in Italy, late on Thursday night!
My best to you all,
St. Paul's Episcopal Church
