Here are your updates for this week:
-Last Chance Food Sunday: Please bring any NON-PERISHABLES for the September food distribution, to church this Sunday. Please make sure to check expiration dates on all items being cleared from your home cupboards, as food (even if in cans) that is expired cannot be accepted or distributed. Checks are always appreciated as well. Thanks!
-Pizza Paparazzi Night: September 11th, 6 pm. We will brainstorm questions for our Conversation with Angela Lansbury, set for October 8. Your RSVP will ensure that we have enough pizza for everyone, so please RSVP by September 7th: 927-3239 or firstname.lastname@example.org
-Men’s Labyrinth Retreat: Saturday, September 26, 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at St. Paul’s. Join Donna and Rob Ross as they remember walking through the holy city of Jerusalem – and share your own experiences of pilgrimage in discussions led by Fr. Brian Palmer, who has made the same journey. There will also be opportunities to make shorter pilgrimages by walking St. Paul's Labyrinth or the Stations of the Cross in the garden.
Bruce Feiler, the author of "Walking the Bible", explores the universal human practice of going on pilgrimage in his new video, Sacred Journeys. After watching “Jerusalem” (a brief segment from the video) we will examine the questions Feiler raises: Why do we go on pilgrimage? What do we hope to find? How will the journey change us? Lunch is included, so RSVPs by 9 am September 24 are needed: 927-3239 or email@example.com A flyer with more event info will be posted next week in the Parish Hall.
-Pipe Organ Concert-September 13, 4:00 pm, St. James Episcopal Church, Paso Robles. Benefits St. James Kitchen Remodel. $15.00 per person. Purchase tickets at the church office or at the door. Info: 238-0819.
