Dear Church Family,
Some important news in the life of our church:
PLEASE KEEP IN YOUR PRAYERS:
- Jeanne Gerhardt. Jeanne was diagnosed earlier this week with cancer in her lungs and other areas, and her family is now involved with Hospice. At this time, you can best show your love and support by praying for Jeanne and her family, sending cards or short notes, and for now, refraining from visits (very important for now) as she is just not up to that yet.
-Also, Anna Mae Wagner is in Sierra Vista after experiencing problems with vertigo and falling. She will remain there while undergoing tests to determine the real source of her symptoms. I am sure she would love brief visits from members of her church family. She is in room 103 Bed 2. Please keep her in your prayers.
- Frank DeMicco is recovering from a heart infection requiring Lainie’s assistance almost around the clock. This is just the latest in a few issues that Frank has been dealing with lately. Please pray for them both.
-Prayers of Thanksgiving/Praises: Phyllis Golowka has been improving and brief visits are now encouraged! J She is currently at Bayside in Morro Bay. The power of prayer is so amazing. Please continue prayers for everyone on our Sunday prayer list.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15- Father Brian will celebrate the Eucharist with us at 8 am and 10:30 am. Thank you to this week’s worship volunteers: Anne H. HIKE AND EUCHARIST: The next SLO Deanery Hike is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2015 on the Painted Rock trail located in the Carrizo Plain National Monument. We will meet at the trail parking area at 12:45pm and begin walking promptly at 1pm. All ages are welcome. The easy trail is about a 1.5 miles round trip with very little elevation change. We will have a stationed Eucharist stopping at several points along the way to begin the service, listen to scripture, have a short time of silence, and end with Communion amidst the rocks. Directions to the Painted Rock Trail can be found at: http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/bakersfield/Programs/carrizo/cpnm_directions.html. If you have any questions please call the Rev. Barbara Miller at 805-712-0650.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTER RECERTIFICATION is required every three years. This year the training will be held Wednesday, February 25, 7pm @ St Peters. Contact our office for further info.
