Dear Church Family,
Here are your updates for the period Feb 5-12, 2015.
Sunday, Feb 8: Drum roll, please……..for the first time in about 2 years, we will hold Morning Prayer- at our 8 am and 10:30 am worship sessions. Some of you have commented over the past year or so how you enjoy that particular worship experience, so here it is! Many thanks to our worship leaders Jim Wilson and Stevely Anderson for agreeing to lead this Sunday’s prayer services.
Vestry Meeting: Monday, February 9 2:00 pm.
Parish Hall Bulletin Board item: Please check out an announcement regarding an Ecumenical Day of Retreat on Saturday, February 28th, at St. Timothy’s in Morro Bay.
February 10th Community forum sponsored by CARES, begins at 3:15 pm. Input is needed regarding what services might be important to offer our community members. This is not just a forum about dementia, so if you have an interest in seeing broader services come to Cambria for our older residents or their families, here is your chance to be part of the process. Refreshments will be served. (See the flyer in the Parish Hall for further.)
Card of thanks- Jeff and I wish to extend our sincerest appreciation and thanks for the expressions of sympathy sent to us after the recent death of Jeff’s mother, Pat. We take great comfort in knowing others care. I will be back to my normal schedule next week. Many thanks to Lou Ann Carter for helping cover the office while I was away.
Sunday, February 15: Father Brian will celebrate the Eucharist with us at 8 am and 10:30 am, as well as celebrating here on Ash Wednesday.
Mail folders: A reminder to clean out your mail folders in the office entry. If you no longer require a folder, please let me know ASAP.
Lenten Soup Suppers- a sign-up sheet will be posted within the next few days. Thanks for your patience.
Enjoy the rain that we can expect this weekend! Praise God from whom all blessings flow…..
