Here are your announcements for the coming week:
FROM THE PARISH ADMINISTRATOR-OFFICE CLOSURE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 1: The parish office’s hours will vary next week and it is likely that the office will be closed on some of its regularly scheduled “open” days and perhaps open on Saturday the 7th. This is due to the unexpected passing of Jeff’s mother on Tuesday. As of this date and time, the service details are not known except that it will occur sometime midweek. Lou Ann Carter will be picking up messages left on the phone, but please do not email any time-sensitive messages until after I return. Thanks in advance for your prayers.-Michelle
FROM JULIAN CROCKER, SR. WARDEN-THANKS TO DON : A heartfelt THANKS to our Pastor Associate Don for serving as our Interim for the four months from October 1 through January 25th. Please refer any pastoral care concerns or requests directly to Michelle or me, and not to Don, as we will meet our pastoral care needs for February from within the parish until Fr. Brian arrives on March 1.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1: We will hold one service only, at 9:30 am, and will celebrate birthdays at coffee hour. Lyle Grosjean will serve as Guest Celebrant at our service. It is also LAST CHANCE FOOD SUNDAY for the February distribution on the 5th.
CHANGES TO OUR WORSHIP SCHEDULE: February 8th worship is now scheduled as Morning Prayer. Many thanks to Jim Wilson who will lead the 8 am service, and to Stevely Anderson who will lead the 10:30 am service. February 8 acolytes please note: You will not be serving on the 8th after all. Thanks anyway! On Sunday, February 15th, Father Brian will be our Guest Celebrant, and on Ash Wednesday he will also lead us in worship at 12 noon.
ANNUAL REPORT: The Annual Report is now available on line at www.stpaulscambria.org . Check it out. We are also considering publishing our volunteer schedules online but want to hear from our Sunday volunteers before we do, as to whether you are comfortable with the information being posted. If you have input to share, please email the office and note “Volunteer input” in the subject line, so I can track your comments easily. Thanks.
MEMORIAL GARDEN FORMS AND OTHER ADVANCE PLANNING FORMS will soon be available on our website at www.stpaulscambria.org.. I am also hoping to get Memorial Planning Forms on the website soon as well.
BULLETIN BOARD INFO- Some important info is now posted regarding a fundraising effort for CUHS Grad Kristen Anderson’s baby boy. Her dad and grandfather are long-time Cambria residents. Please see the board for further info.
INPUT NEEDED! Please attend a meeting February 10 at 3:15 in our Parish Hall. CARES directors are asking the Community’s input regarding local needs for seniors, and how a new program might be developed in CARES’ place. This is your opportunity to help identify where local programs fall short, or where duplications might exist. Refreshments will be served prior to the meeting so come a few minutes early. PLEASE SEE THE POSTED FLYER IN THE PARISH HALL FOR RSVP INFO.
LENTEN WREATH READERS- I will be posting the reader sign-ups for wreath readers as soon as I return at the end of next week. More info on Soup Suppers will also be available soon.
Wishing you all a wonderful evening and tomorrow….
