Here are some important updates in these final few days before Christmas:
HELP NEEDED (Sanctuary/campus prep): Much of the sanctuary prep for Christmas Eve will occur after the last service on December 22. We will need to move furniture out, move folding chairs in, set out our sandwich board sign, and perform other tasks related to getting ready for Christmas Eve. If you can help, please do! Thanks!
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE: Our carol sing begins at 6:30 pm with our choral Eucharist beginning at 7 pm. Please share bulletins if you can…we want to make sure they are also available for our guests.
December 29 service: One service only at 9:30 am, led by Father Carl Hansen.
Office hours modified: I will be working additional days this week then taking off days next week.
Utilities: Recently lights in the sanctuary restroom have been left on, as has the sanctuary heater. Let’s all do our part to keep our utility bills down. Many thanks!
OOPS: In our December 22 bulletin, I thanked Betty Malone for having stored the Christmas poinsettias for us. In fact, we are grateful to the other wonderful Betty of our parish, Betty Pierce, for storing them. Many thanks Betty. (And thanks to the Wilsons for transporting them to Cambria!)
Found in the program of Kate Hepworth’s recent students’ recital:
“Special thanks to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for their continued support of my musical endeavors and to Jim Wilson and the Cambria Youth Music Scholarship Committee for the Scholarship pledges for 2014…”
Hearing from friends: Please check the bulletin board for Christmas cards from our friends near and far. If anyone has the opportunity to make a call to Anne Meyer, it would certainly raise her spirits. According to Sara Blair Field, she is not doing well. Her contact info is found in your phone directory.Cookie Outreach: Thank you to the ECW for another great Cookie Outreach. This year we had the Warner children on hand to also help. Enjoy the photos!
